Fred Strobel is a New York-based photographer whose work explores the intersection of place, light, and everyday experience. Working primarily with observational imagery, he is drawn to moments that reveal resilience, humor, irony, and quiet symbolism within the ordinary.
His photographs range from landscapes and street scenes to objects and environments that invite closer attention. Whether documenting a fleeting interaction, an unexpected juxtaposition, or the traces people leave behind, his work seeks to uncover stories that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Recent projects include explorations of the contemporary American West, the Irish landscape, and the intersection of memory, passage, and human presence.
His work has been selected for juried and group exhibitions in New York and beyond.
